A new bikepacking cycle route will lead you around the beauty of East Kent – and you can experience it on one of our e-bikes.
The Cantii Way, named after the early tribe which inhabited the county, is a circular route that uses traffic-free cycle paths, bridleways and quiet roads.
It offers a great leisurely day out as you meander and discover places off the beaten, tourist hotspot track!
And the good news is, it’s suitable for most levels of fitness – gentle slopes are the worst it gets!
Buy a bike for the adventure and many more after, or hire when you’re going out to tackle the 234km (145m) route that takes around Kent’s north coast, along the east side of the county at Margate and down through Sandwich, Dover, Folkestone, Hythe and Dungeness in the south.
Inland to Rye, through Ashford then sweep around Canterbury. You can do it in any order – it’s circular but it promises to take you through fantastic countryside, rewarding you with amazing views.
It certainly gives you a reason to come back to complete the route over a few trips and we’d be delighted to hire you an e-bike every time.
Scenery, food, drink, history, heritage and wildlife will add to the magic as you cycle back lanes, woodland trails and coastal paths – The Garden of England has it all!
The route can be divided into four parts:
Wye to Canterbury (22km)
Canterbury to Reculver (26km)
Reculver to Cliffsend (19km)
Cliffsend to Dover (31km)
